Gujarat Oleo Chem Ltd. (GOCL) has unique distinction of being the first Indian Company to commercialize production of Biodiesel. We manufacture various castor and other vegetable oil based oleo chemicals finding applications in the field of lubricating greases, fuels, paints, dyes, pigments, plasti cs , textiles, rubber, pharmaceutical, soap and cosmetic industries.

The products were launched on 11th May, 2000 by Prof. Murli Manohar Joshi, Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Director General, CSIR, Prof. V. S. Ramamurthy, Chairman, Technology Development Board & Secretary to   the Government of India, Department   of Science   & Technology in presence of His Excellency Dr.  A.  P.  J.  Abdul Kalam (presently President of India).

Our production facility at Ankleshwar in Gujarat is the most modern plant meeting   Global Quality Standards. The plant is located on the National Highway No.8, well connected to Mumbai & JNPT port for container shipment and port of Kandla for bulk shipments. GOCL spread over an area covering approximately 55000 sq. meters, with a refining capability of more than 1,500 tones of castor oil per month, the plant further processes the oil to produce various down stream derivatives, meeting international standards.
